Adventures in Art: Famous Illustrators
This month we are going to learn about famous illustrators who are known for their children’s book illustrations, such as Mary Blair and ones who became famous through social media like Charlie Davis. Illustrators help us understand the world in a visual way. Before they can read, children can understand a story or idea because an illustrator found a way to create a visual representation of the concept. Art is a powerful tool that illustrators have harnessed to help us comprehend our world, give personality to inanimate objects, share a bold statement or tell a complex story to a child. Students will learn a variety of art techniques.
